White City is a city in Morris County, Kansas, United States.[1] As of the 2020 census, the population of the city was 447.[4]
History
White City was founded in 1871 by a colony from

White City is located at 38°47′43″N 96°44′12″W / 38.79528°N 96.73667°W (38.795216, -96.736657).[10] According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 1.26 square miles (3.26 km2), of which, 1.25 square miles (3.24 km2) is land and 0.01 square miles (0.03 km2) is water.[11]

There were 238 households, of which 34.0% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 55.5% were married couples living together, 10.5% had a female householder with no husband present, 5.0% had a male householder with no wife present, and 29.0% were non-families. 25.2% of all households were made up of individuals, and 13.4% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.60 and the average family size was 3.05.
The median age in the city was 39.2 years. 26.4% of residents were under the age of 18; 8.1% were between the ages of 18 and 24; 23.6% were from 25 to 44; 27.3% were from 45 to 64; and 14.6% were 65 years of age or older. The gender makeup of the city was 50.8% male and 49.2% female.

The average household size was 2.38 and the average family size was 2.91.
In the city, the population was spread out, with 26.8% under the age of 18, 6.4% from 18 to 24, 28.2% from 25 to 44, 21.8% from 45 to 64, and 16.8% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 37 years. For every 100 females, there were 97.0 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 101.6 males.
The median income for a household in the city was $36,136, and the median income for a family was $39,423. Males had a median income of $29,000 versus $18,000 for females. The

White City is connected to the Union Pacific rail system.[citation needed]
Education
The community is served by Rural Vista USD 481 public school district.[15][16] The community is served by a pre-kindergarten through grade 12 school with a mascot of Huskies.[17] In most sports, however, the school consolidates with Hope High School to become the Rural Vista Heat.
