Kevin12xd (talk · contribs · count) Hi, I've been around Wikipedia for a while now, and I'm starting to explore Wikipedia's policies in a more in-depth way. In about a year, I will apply at RfA, to extend my work a little further. Any comments about my working habits would be very much appreciated. Thanks!

Questions

  1. What are your primary contributions to Wikipedia? Are there any about which you are particularly pleased? Why?
My primary contributions to Wikipedia include vandal fighting, random minor editing, and AWB tagging. I am particularly pleased with my vandalism reverting, as I take great pride in bearing my automated tools and reverting away, to know that little children looking for research will stumble over one less thing.
  2. Have you been in editing disputes or do you feel other users have caused you stress? How have you dealt with it and how will you deal with it in the future? If you have never been in an editing dispute, explain how you would respond to one.
Looking back, I haven't done any mass editing on a single article, with the exception of Roblox. I tend to think of myself as a person who can let out steam in an appropriate way, and therefore I deal with stress in a simplistic manner. Whenever appropriate, I place the corresponding warning template on the second-party's talkpage, try and solve the dispute myself rather than getting a third opinion, and end it as quickly as possible (and properly) so I can get back to editing. In the future, I think I will employ my current methods for dispute resolution.
  3. What do you want to get out of this editor review? Are you thinking of running for adminship? Would you like feedback on a specific area of your editing? Or would you just like a general review of your edits?
I think editor reviews are a great way to get the community together and comment on each other's editing personalities so that they may become even greater editors. Out of this editor review, I would like to see editors comment specifically on any weaknesses or hurdles that might affect my future RfA, although general comments will be appreciated.

Reviews

I am relatively new to Wikipedia and you definitely have more experience than me but I still want to provide a review for you in hope that it will be useful when you apply for adminship. After looking at your user contributions, it seems that you fairly inconsistent with your presence on Wikipedia. The most number of edits was during December of 2012 and that number decreases dramatically after. In fact, you didn’t have any edits during November and December of 2013. Please keep in mind that to become an admin, you should be an active in the Wikipedia community.

On another note, I really do appreciate your dedication and determination for fighting vandalism, we need more people like you. I also enjoy doing so whenever I can. In addition, I noticed that you post on use talk pages quite often, which is definitely a plus because it is good to let other user know why you made the changes you did or why their edit(s) was reverted. It is great that you are connecting with other users and getting involved in the Wikipedia community. However, if you are planning on becoming an admin, these activities should be something you do regularly and unfortunately, will not increase your chances as much as they should. On the other hand, you are doing a great job at providing edit summaries, as they are helpful to other users and will increase your chances of becoming an admin.

I see that you are using Wikipedia:Twinkle to help you with your edits. I also suggest using User:SuggestBot to find articles that really need some improvements. Overall, you are a great contributor and I’m sure everyone appreciates you help and involvement in the Wikipedia community. Please try to stay active because you are a valuable member and it will help you gain influence when applying for adminship. LeDrewww (talk) 05:54, 14 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for your review. At this time, I cannot find time to edit on Wikipedia, but I check my userpage and all quite often. I plan on becoming more active as of next week. Thank you very much for your review, and believe me - I appreciate constructive feedback more than you might think! Cheers, Kevin12xd (contribs) 15:07, 27 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
