The National Media Museum collects and displays material related to the history and practice of photography, moving images, audio, broadcast and so on. Recently incorporating digital and new media. The museum is part of the Science Museum Group and operates the museum and several cinemas in Bradford, UK. It has internationally important collections of photography and early film, as well as cameras and other related objects. Much is searchable as part of the Science Museum Group's Online Collections. The National Media Museum is not only concerned with what images (or other media) portray, but the technology and socio-cultural factors involved in their sharing, transmission and reuse over time.
