I edited a story a while ago and accurately reported on Cuomo

I edited the story about Cuomo and allowing infected patience back into nursing homes I was admonished and the story was reverted back now with Janice Dean, and other reports it appears that stories that are covering for corruption, injuries and deaths by liberals and democrats actually is being fraudulently cover upped, to protect a false imagine that appears to be what Wikipedia is now promoting not accurate and not honest neither equal always leaning and refusing to shed a light on journalism I hope you would look into the accuracy of hidden nursing home deaths and help correct the false narratives— Preceding unsigned comment added by Quotelawrence (talkcontribs) 3 June 2021 02:35 (UTC)

Using (US) federal regulations as a ref

Beryl is in need of a ref. I found a ref at the (Electronic) Code of Federal Regulations, but Template:Cite act does not really fit, and Category:Law citation templates is even more confusing to me. Could someone point me to the correct template, please? 76.119.40.77 (talk) 03:26, 3 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Mediawiki:Noarticletext

Hello. I'm sysop at IT wikipedia. Mediawiki:Noarticletext is it still in use? Because you can see that the message when you open a new page is different. Try temp2 for instance. Where (link?) I have to edit to change this message in my wiki. Thanks a lot. Regards--Pierpao (talk) 06:32, 3 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Pierpao: You can use the uselang=qqx option to show the names of the Mediawiki messages. So, at the English-language Wikipedia, this link shows that Mediawiki:Noarticletext is displayed. At the Italian Wikipedia, this link, at least for me, shows that various Visual Editor messages are displayed instead. -- John of Reading (talk) 07:09, 3 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
A red wikilink like temp2 makes an edit url like https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Temp2&action=edit&redlink=1 and displays MediaWiki:Newarticletext (which is customized with namespace dependent output at the English Wikipedia). It does not display Mediawiki:Noarticletext. That message is displayed on https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Temp2, the url the page would have if it existed. Page editing error

Hi

I am trying to edit my employer's wikipedia entry. I have made all the relevant edits, but keep getting "Cite error: There are <ref> tags on this page without content in them" when I publish. I'm unsure how to solve this, could someone help me please?. Please find the page below:

Email addresses exposed

Can some one please remove or obscure this link information? It contains 100's if not a thousand email addresses.

https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=VCard&oldid=1003453334

While they should not have been there in the first place they should not continue to be exposed in the change history.

Regards.

P.S. It would be nice if entries that are no longer deemed 'encyclopedic' could just be moved to another feature like supplemental information rather than totally removing the information. The vCard wiki went from extremely useful to the current now almost worthless state, and all the contributed information is only in the change log. It is a shame. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 136.49.65.164 (talk)

The article-history information that the OP links to may warrant a revdel, as it exposes 100s of email addresses. Maproom (talk) 10:25, 3 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I have revision deleted it. PrimeHunter (talk) 10:40, 3 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks! Sorry about the signature issue. 136.49.65.164 (talk) 08:48, 4 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Since it was a dump of non-public personal information, I've requested that it be
suppressed over and above the ordinary rev deletion. Should you ever see anything like that again, you can request suppression by clicking on the 'e-mail the oversight team' link at the top of that page - that avoids having to post a link to the info at a public location like this. A search for American actor Don Burnett directs you to the page of his wife Barbara Anderson. No factual changes need to be made. Just the link. — Preceding unsigned comment added by RichardJKellerJr (talkcontribs) 12:29, 3 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, How do I send in my article for review/ and or get my draft out of the sandbox to be able to find it when I search for it in the toolbar?

User:Weknoweverything21, I suggest reading Help:Your first article, which gives an overview of what you need to know when writing an article. As noted above the first question to ask is whether the subject is notable by Wikipedia's standards. TSventon (talk) 13:51, 3 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Sister Sledge

The article about Sister Sledge has suffered repeat vandalism from a user who seemingly has a personal axe to grind about matters to do with the band's membership. They have now uploaded a file File:Sister sledge.pdf, which appears to be a pdf of a legal letter. Clearly this has no place on Wikipedia, but I don't know how to delete it - presumably someone with admin privileges needs to do so. Thanks - MFlet1 (talk) 17:33, 3 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Plant articles

Hello, I study Plant Biology in college and I was wondering if there are any plants, known to mankind that, do not have an article yet. this site has helped me so much throughout my college years and I would like to help it out.

There are many thousands that still need articles! If you have a good head for taxonomy you will find that there are also a lot of plants that may exist under multiple scientific names that need an expert's help to disentangle. My suggestion: find a specialized book in your library, and then tackle plants genus by genus. I for example started it a while ago with Bouteloua, based on a book of the wild grasses of the Southwest. CaptainEek Edits Ho Cap'n! 04:47, 4 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Can a child edit a parent's entry, providing appropriate citations?

I'm a VERY occasional WP editor. As it happens, my 93-year-old mother died recently, and I've just discovered that someone created a a WP page for her. She meets the "academic notability" criteria (item 6), because she "has held a highest-level elected or appointed administrative post at a major academic institution" (Academic Secretary to the Faculty Senate at Stanford University, roughly equivalent to Dean of the Faculty at other institutions). But there are minor errors in the current entry. I know of the general norm that individuals should not edit their own pages. But may I edit my mother's page without setting off disputes? I would, of course, provide appropriate citations for all information. Thanks.

Hi

Art Catalogue Reference

Hello,

I am wondering how I would use art catalogues for citation and references. Unlike a book that has an ISBN, these art catalogues are don't have those and many of them are very old. There are dates in which the catalogue was printed and used for specific showings but other than that there isn't a whole lot. I also have some recent ones from Long Island University and Korea University Museum but still wondering what information I need to put or look for to use it as a citation or reference.

I've seen a couple of examples in
verify its content. For recent catalogues, the website of the hosting venue probably will have a link to verify at least that an exhibition had been held. Mike Turnbull (talk) 19:58, 3 June 2021 (UTC)[reply
