While this may be the alleged puppeteer forgetting to log in the puppeteer is also a paid editor. I am concerned that the IP address may be being used to appear to circumvent COI. They are both intimately interested in the life and works of one Hamis Kiggundu

Diffs include:

  • One showing the addition of a Forbes Article image upload to Commons by the sock master

  • Four Note that Diannaa redacted copyright material so it requires admin goggles

CU requested though I acknowledge that no information linking any IP with a named account will be released.

The editing by Ibitukirire is suspicious for two reasons. First, Ibi has edited Draft:Haruna Sentongo and has copied Haruna Sentongo into article space, when the draft was created by Izaaq. Second, Ibi popped up at the same time as Izaaq's last unblock request was denied. The unblock requests make the data from Izaaq current so that CheckUser is possible. This editor came to my talk page asking me to restore Draft:Nuhu Muzaata Batte which was a page created by sockpuppet Ibitukirire who was blocked by Mz7. The page was deleted by MER-C as a CSD G5. Just 9 hours after sock Ugmatrix was blocked, the Ddragoner account was created. Both accounts use a very unique userpage style adjustment: Ugmatrix, Ddragoner. Also both of them share the same user talk page headers, that can't be found like that anywhere else on enwiki: search, Ugmatrix, Ddragoner. There is a significant of articles they both edit, mainly focused on the UPE-article Hamis Kiggundu, as well as Diamond Trust Bank (Uganda). Also Ddragoner requested undeletion of Draft:Ham Group of Companies – a draft created by another sock of Izaaqnewton (Mark Mulwanyi). – NJD-DE (talk) 15:57, 10 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Nothing significant about this account regarding article contributions on enwiki. What is interesting though is that when creating their userpage they copied parts of Liz's userpage to theirs. Especially remarkable the "Due to another username change, I'm now". Previous socks of Izaaqnewton copied parts of Liz's talk page (see SPI report from 10 September 2021). They declared being a paid editor, however when comparing their draft Draft:Haruna Sentongo with one of the socks sandbox on simple-wiki simple:User:Ddragoner/Sandbox it's becoming clear this is the same sockfarm. While checking the logs of the Haruna Sentongo article on simplewiki, I noticed that a day after Ddragoner's article was deleted there, a user called Haruna Ssentongo (talk+ · tag · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · filter log · block user · spi block · block log · CA · CheckUser(log) · investigate · cuwiki) recreated it. Hit the ground running as an experienced editor today. Very much looks like UPE. Also remove d the UPE tag from our old "friend" Hamis Kiggundu who is so often the target of this sock master.

Particular interest in Hamis Kiggundu here, on simple-wiki and commons. Interesting to note is also that they created their account on 29 October 16:32. That's less than two hours after the other socks were blocked.   • This IP has not edited the English Wikipedia since 2019, so there is nothing we can really do at enwiki SPI. I don't see any recent activity that looks like Izaaqnewton on the associated /16 range, either. Timtrent: If an IP editor is disrupting multiple projects you can request a global block at m:SRG, but considering the small scale of the problem (two edits two days ago) I personally wouldn't bother with it right now. (This editor has access to a larger range, but it appears there would be a lot of collateral if it were to be blocked). Closing without action. This one is slightly complex. On Commons the new sock has uploaded File:Mr.Hamis Kiggundu.jpg and File:Hamis Kiggundu cropped.jpg, this time with licencing provided by a newspaper under the apparent control of Kiggundu. On Commons they have been blocked as a sock of this master.

I am asking for CU on the basis that these individuals keeping showing up, and thus we may find one and save a bit of hassle

I am asking for global locks to be requested. This is a nasty little sock farm, likely directed by Kiggundu, or paid by him (note that Hamis Kiggundu has an interesting indictment of Kiggundu: "In April 2020 Kiggundu donated food relief to Uganda's COVID-19 task force.[17] He also donated food supplies to over 100 Ugandan journalists through the Uganda Journalists Association,[18][19] but was also criticized for providing cash handouts to journalists.[20]"

So, in summary, this editor has not yet any en WP contributions, but en WP has themes effective SPI system and does they very well. So I have brought it here FiddleTimtrent FaddleTalk to me 19:20, 1 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Kareninaq mine requested that an entry for himself be added on the List of Ugandans by net worth. Tompetert requested on talk page of List of Ugandans by net worth that an entry for Haruna Sentongo should be added to it. Kareninaq admitted being the same user as Ssentongo Haruna by posting on the latters simple talk page asking why their information is kept being deleted. Noticed another user called "Han Ssentongo" on Commons, and found them here trying to promote same usual person.
Personally, I find it unlikely that they are the real Sentongo Haruna. More likely is that they are on the payroll of Sentongo Haruna and/or Hamis Kiggundu, who despite different last names are brothers.– NJD-DE (talk) 21:25, 18 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

  • I just blocked 41.210.147.68 on the same range as one of the IPs above for block evasion. They're editing and requesting restoration of the same UPE articles as the master. I've semi-protected Hamis Kiggundu for a month as they're just going to hop around to evade the block and rangeblocked the /19 for two weeks. Nanyongaa is a very recent account with very few edits. A sifgnificant one is at the head of Talk:Hamis Kiggundu where they declare a paid interest (albeit with a different paymaster) as one of their first edits, displaying unusual knowledge for a new editor.

Kiggundu is a definite self publicist. If this is not socking then this is (declared paid) meat.
