  • Delete per nom. Personally I don't see the point in maintaining these links for the relatively small number of articles covered. If the content of Stats.grok.se (or other similar data) is useful, its useful for all articles and a generic solution needs to be found. Maintaining this template doesn't help in that regard.     I think you are misunderstanding something, but I'm not sure what that something is. Stats.grok.de covers every article that existed during the period for which it has data, data that is not available on the article views tool, which did not exist until several years after stats.grok.se. Deleting the template without some sort of replacement will unnecessarily break the places it is used. Thryduulf (talk) 13:26, 30 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
    I understand all that. I'm still not understanding why the Stats.grok.se data for the 1900 places it is used is so important, while the data for the other millions of articles is not.   • Keep for now, the archive.org prefix seems for the few that I checked. We could probably even tweak it a bit to provide a more targeted link using the year and month parameters. Seems to me that there's little purpose in the navbox, since there's only a loose connection between the stations, most users don't want to navigate directly from one station to another, just between the parent article Cat Country (brand) and the station.   • Keep most of Wikipedia is, by necessity, history and not current. The template might be moved down in certain articles where the station still exists. Note, for example that we aren’t deleting historical material, or articles on historical stations. Nor George Washington, nor Alexander the Great, etc. User:Student7
    Yes, I missed the fact that it says "Former stations". Of the long list of stations the template only appears in 6. No one's suggesting deleting Nassau Broadcasting Partners; the question is whether this navbox is at all useful. The parent article contains a list of former stations and many of the former stations link back to it. The navbox is really only useful for navigation if users want to jump from one station to another, and personally I think that's unlikely.
