Anup Kumar Yama (born 1 September 1984) is an Indian

roller skater. He won the Arjuna Award in 2015 by Indian Government (for outstanding achievement in National Sports). He has won several national titles.[1]

He won two bronze medals[2] at the 2010 Asian Games held in Guangzhou, China in the Men's Single Free Skating and Pairs Skating events with his partner Avani Panchal.

Early life

He was born on 1 September 1984 in a family of athletes.

Anup started skating at four. He is coached by his father Veeresh Yama, also a skater.
