Aviation/LAX station is an elevated
Los Angeles, California.[4] It opened as part of the Green Line on August 12, 1995.[5] The station was initially named Aviation Blvd/I-105, but in 2003, it was simplified and renamed Aviation/LAX to highlight its proximity to Los Angeles International Airport.[6]
A free
LAX Shuttle bus connects this station to the airport. However, when the K Line fully opens in 2024, the shuttle will be replaced by the LAX Automated People Mover which will connect with LAX/Metro Transit Center station.[7] This station will then be renamed Aviation/Imperial station.[8]
The train platform, currently suitable for two-car trains, is planned to be lengthened by 2028 to accommodate longer three-car trains.[9][10]
