Demography

As of 2011, Bhaura has a total number of 385 houses and population of 1778 of which 894 include are males while 884 are females according to the report published by

child sex ratio is approximately 915 as compared to Punjab state average of 846.[1][4]

Most of the people are from Schedule Caste which constitutes 41.96% of total population in Bhaura. The town does not have any Schedule Tribe population so far.[1]

As per the report published by Census India in 2011, 594 people were engaged in work activities out of the total population of Bhaura which includes 502 males and 92 females. According to census survey report 2011, 89.73% workers describe their work as main work and 10.27% workers are involved in Marginal activity providing livelihood for less than 6 months.[1][5]

The village has a Punjabi medium, co-ed upper primary school.

Transport

Banga railway station is the nearest train station however, Garhshankar Junction railway station is 12 kilometres (7.5 mi) away from the village.

Sri Guru Ram Dass Jee International Airport is the second nearest airport which is 147 kilometres (91 mi) away in Amritsar.[9]
