This page still needs a lot more work. For one thing, there should sections not just for individual countries, but on a continental level. Like MIDDLE-EASTERN MUSICIANS, EUROPEAN MUSICIANS, etc. - User:Black-Velvet, November 29, 2005, 15:40 (GMT+8:00)

Other sub-categories that would help to reduce the clutter and confusion would be by genre for North American (U.S. & Canadian, for sure). I am willing to work on this some, in the not too distant future. I am putting it on my watchlist so I don't forget. My question: Isn't it going to look kinda weird if there's this undifferentiated mass, and then genre lists? Would the best way to handle it be by making sub-pages with the genres, deleting them from the big list? And when that's done, how to indicate so some newbie doesn't add them back in? (speaking as one just getting really involved myself. :) tygerbryght 09:24, 29 Jan 2006
Wikipedia:WikiProject_Stub_sorting/Stub_types#Music shows the current music stub type hierarchy. You'll notice that some of the subdivisions are by both nationality and genre. If you can identify new stub categories to add to the list, propose them at Wikipedia:WikiProject Stub sorting/Proposals, remembering that at least 60 stub articles must exist that would occupy each new stub category proposed. There is no way to stop users from stubbing articles to the wrong stub category, other than perhaps to draw their attention to their actions on their talk page. Stub sorters just have to keep watching for new additions to stub categories. --Bruce1ee 10:38, 1 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Can I put other subcategories on this article page? Like ((singer-stub))? Imoeng 13:34, 26 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the heads-up. I changed Category:Musician stubs's sort key in Category:Singer stubs so the singer-stub subcategory now appears on the first page. --Bruce1ee 14:11, 26 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
