Double Oak is a town in Denton County, Texas, United States. The population was 2,867 at the 2010 census.[5]
Geography
Double Oak is located at 33°3′52″N 97°6′38″W / 33.06444°N 97.11056°W (33.064331, –97.110690).[6]
According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 2.5 square miles (6.4 km2), of which 2.4 square miles (6.3 km2) is land and 0.039 square miles (0.1 km2), or 1.48%, is water.[7]

In the town, the population was spread out, with 30.1% under the age of 18, 5.7% from 18 to 24, 26.5% from 25 to 44, 32.4% from 45 to 64, and 5.4% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 39 years. For every 100 females, there were 98.1 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 98.8 males.
The median income for a household in the town was $113,400, and the median income for a family was $114,063. Males had a median income of $81,398 versus $47,417 for females. The

The majority of Double Oak is served by the Lewisville Independent School District, while a portion to the west is in the Denton Independent School District.[9]
The Denton ISD part is zoned to Adkins Elementary School,
