Fort Stoddert, also known as Fort Stoddard,
A post office operated under the name Fort Stoddart from 1804 to 1829.[7]
The first newspaper in Alabama, The Mobile Centinel, was published weekly at Fort Stoddert from 1811 to 1813.[8]
