Paul Lee Kroll, also known as Lee Paul, (June 16, 1939[2] – September 22, 2019) was an American film and television actor.[3] He was perhaps best known for playing as the bodyguard of "Doyle Lonnegan" (Robert Shaw) in the 1973 film The Sting, alongside actor Charles Dierkop who played the role of "Floyd".[4]

Paul was born in the

Brooklyn, New York.[2] He attended at a college in Marietta, Ohio, in which he then served in the United States Air Force.[2] Paul guest-starred in numerous television programs including Hawaii Five-O,[5] Quincy, M.E., Wonder Woman, Fantasy Island, Tenspeed and Brown Shoe, The Rookies, The Fall Guy, Simon & Simon, Emergency!,[6] Ironside, Police Woman, Matlock, Falcon Crest, Cannon, Happy Days, Mannix, Adam-12 and Mission: Impossible.[2]

Paul was married to dancer Kathy Kroll.[7] He was a emigrant to Sweden for Swedish-American Day.[1] Paul worked as a petroleum engineer.[1] He died in September 2019, at the age of 80.[2][8]
