Radzikowice [rad͡ʑikɔˈvit͡sɛ] is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Nysa, within Nysa County, Opole Voivodeship, in south-western Poland.[1] It lies approximately 7 kilometres (4 mi) north-west of Nysa and 49 km (30 mi) west of the regional capital Opole.
History
The oldest known mention of the village comes from 1291, although archaeological research has shown that the settlement dates back to the
Poland, and afterwards it was also part of Bohemia (Czechia), Prussia and Germany. During World War II, the Germans operated three forced labour subcamps (E291, E532, E628) of the Stalag VIII-B/344 prisoner-of-war camp in the village.[2] The village was restored to Poland after the defeat of Nazi Germany
in World War II in 1945.
