Tulip Rizwana Siddiq (born 1982) is a
Bengali
woman in Camden Council.
Early life
Siddiq was born in
English Literature at University College London and then completed a Master's degree at King's College London. She is doing a second Master’s degree in Politics, Policy and Government.[1][2]
Career
Siddiq has worked for Amnesty International, the Greater London Authority, Philip Gould Associates,[3] Save the Children, Oona King, Sadiq Khan,[1] Harry Cohen and on Ed Miliband’s campaign to be leader of the Labour Party.[3] She has campaigned for political parties internationally and in 2008, she campaigned for Barack Obama in the United States.[1]
Siddiq is a board member of West Euston Partnership and a governor of the Camden & Islington
Young Labour and Women’s Officer for London Young Labour. She is an executive board member of Unite the Union, a member of the Co-operative Party, a fellow at the Royal Society of Arts and is also a member of the Commonwealth Journalists Association (UK).[1]
Siddiq is a
Hampstead and Highgate Express.[1]
Personal life
Siddiq resides in Camden Town, London with her family. Her mother’s older sister is Sheikh Hasina, the Prime Minister of Bangladesh.[5][4]
