The term Oresundtrain appears to be a Wikipedia invention. I don't find it being used anywhere other than on Wikipedia and its copies. The network itself uses the Swedish form Öresundståg in its English-language publications and website. This may be "the English-language Wikipedia" as some are so find of reminding of us, but I don't think it is our business to be making up our own neologisms. -- Picapica (talk) 19:34, 2 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I tend to agree - there are absulutely no "Oresund" or "Oresund trains". But given Denmarks historical rights over Øresund (also after Scania was captured by the Swedes), the Sound Dues was in use from 1429 until 1857 (with exception for Swedish ships only between 1658 and 1720) - AND the fact that a Danish "Ø" is used on the trains AND the fact that the population around Øresund is around twice as high (atleast) on the Danish side AND the fact that the Danish Capital Copenhagen is located by the Øresund, I think the Danish spelling ought to be used. Any "middle way" is in my mind totally out of the question. And I cannot really see any good reason to use "Öresund" in English. And atleast among Swedes living by Öresund (like myself), I think few would object to the Danish spelling. Or please give me a good reason why not, I'm not stubborn and can listen to reason. Hej, Boeing. I continue to believe that "Oresundtrain" is a made-up-for-Wikipedia name that doesn't exist outside the pages of this encyclopedia, and should not, therefore, be the name of this article. The literal translation ("Øresund trains") DOES, of course, deserve to be mentioned in the body of the article, and I have included it in my amendment.

To update (or correct -- I may have got it wrong in 2012) what I wrote earlier, the operating company today styles itself Øresundståg (http://www.oresundstag.se/en/About-us/The-Oresund-trains/): in other words, a deliberate blending of the Danish Øresundstog and the Swedish Öresundståg. This is in line with the equally hybrid Øresundsbron (Øresundsbroen + Öresundsbron) used as the trading name of the bridge itself (http://uk.oresundsbron.com/page/1087).

The stretch of water crossed by the bridge and tunnel is historically known in English as simply "The Sound" (Sundet in Danish and Swedish) -- but I agree with you that, in expanding the name to be more specific, use of the Danish rather than the Swedish spelling is more justified. (I only mentioned Öresund earlier because of my, now proved to be mistaken, belief that the train operating company used that spelling.) The "middle way" I do object to is "Oresund" (which is neither fish nor fowl -- just English-speaking laziness, in my view!).

To sum up, I propose Øresundståg as the name of the article about the train operating company -- translated as "Øresund trains" in the body of the text. Second proposal already carried out; with the title move being the next step. -- Picapica (talk) 21:50, 11 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

From Lund C to Osterport Station the line is 24/7, there is an hourly late night service and the trip lasts exactly 60 minutes.^{[1] [2] [3]} Between 23 PM and 00.30 AM there are also other 5 regional trains of the DSB from CPH Airport Station to Osterport Station (and until Helsingor) and other 13 S-trains from Kobenhavn H to Osterport Station.
