Contested deletion

There are no sources or content in this article to indicate any importance. The only references are to the site itself. Googling the award shows it to be on par with a large number of other awards. Natureium (talk) 17:36, 4 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Added some refs to university press releases; admittedly not the strongest claim to notability, but something. Could you elaborate on how being "on par with a large number of other awards" suffices for deletion? Many of the other awards of the ACM are comparably important and have pages with similar content. To be notable, article subjects must have
significant coverage independent of the subject. Adding links to university press releases is good, but are there any articles that talk about the award itself, rather than award winners? I've withdrawn the speedy deletion nomination to give some time to figure out whether this is notable or not. The existence of other articles isn't always helpful in determining whether a subject is a good topic for an article, because with the millions of wikipedia articles, some just haven't been reviewed.
