Birth & death date discrepancies

Most sources [1] [2] [3] [4] [5] say Green died 23 October. The NYTimes obit [6] says 24 October. His birth year is given in some sources [7] [8] [9] as 1915. Other sources [10] [11] [12] say 1914. --Joseph Hewes (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 21:25, 22 July 2009 (UTC).[reply]

Apparently he died around midnight. [13] --Joseph Hewes (talk) 22:59, 22 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Regarding Comden’s & Greene’s contributions to movies, I don’t think it’s accurate to say they “gained notoriety” because notoriety has a negative connotation.

Better to say they ‘gained in esteem’ or ‘enjoyed wider appreciation’ or find some other way of putting it which has a positive connotation. 2600:1700:1B00:AEE0:A539:7315:44E0:316E (talk) 18:31, 3 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
