There does not seem to be any problem with this article's style. Could someone explain why it is up for copy editing?

I submitted the article for editing. If you check the history, you'll see the great majority of it was written very casually -- it read a lot like a high-school social-studies assignment. That content appears to have been removed, but I'll leave the notice up, because there was some interesting detail in there that maybe someone would like to add back in a more appropriate format. --Masterofzen 06:52, 4 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I have added the word "allegedly" in front of "racist remarks" near the beginning of the article. It is possible to give Campanis' remarks a non-racist meaning. Some people may have the ability to be good players but not manager or front-office material, and this is true whether they are white, black, or green. As for the "buoyancy" remark, a person is either buoyant or not, and pointing that out is not necessarily racist. John Paul Parks (talk) 03:10, 20 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Upon researching some history of Kos, I have some concerns that Campanis is listed as being born in Greece. Campanis was born in 1916 in Kos, when the Dodecanese were under Italian rule. Prior to 1912, the islands were under Ottoman rule. The islands were not formally united with Greece until 1947. I believe the birthplace should be corrected to reflect history.
