I don't know where this idea that European Portuguese speakers regularly use the "English Approximation th" sound came from. I'm a native and it's generally a sound native EU-PT speakers have trouble grasping when learning English and Spanish because it's barely in our language, especially for most people who aren't theatre or voice actors. If anything the sound that's being referred to here is closer to a soft "v", but if you go around saying "Almatha" people will think you either have a speech impediment or are making fun of the language. 92.250.102.106 (talk) 16:29, 14 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
