Restoring article with new sources and new information

I didn't become aware of this article's most recent AfD until a few weeks after the AfD was closed as a Redirect. Had I known about the AfD at the time, I would have been a strong Keep vote, as the article already had several sources, including a substantial 2017 source published by Billboard. When the AfD was closed, it only had three votes: two for redirecting the article, one for keeping the article. So the consensus wasn't very strong, and if I had been aware of the AfD in time to participate, no consensus for redirecting the article would have emerged.

I've spoken with the closing administrator, and per WP:Deletion policy#Deletion review, it seems that I'm welcome to restore the article on my own, provided that I make some improvements. I've added several new sources, and although none of these new sources discuss Garcia in great depth, they do offer significant details about Garcia that had not been mentioned in his article at the time of the AfD.

I've added a 2016 source from The New York Times, which discusses both Garcia's Idol-fame and his pre-Idol YouTube fame; I've added a 2015

Streamy Award nomination; and I've added a Billboard source showing that Garcia collaborated with Higa on a 2014 track that placed on the World Digital Song Sales
chart.

I believe that these new details and sources, taken with the sources that had already been included in Garcia's article at the time of the AfD, should be enough to demonstrate standalone notability on Garcia's part. --Jpcase (talk) 18:03, 12 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
