Anshar = Assur?

I read somewhere that Anshar was a distinct deity from Asshur and that the Assyrians syncretized the two to elevate Asshur. Confirmation? --Tydaj 04:38, 13 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

You're right on that one, I have corrected it. Djaser 17:16, 29 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Summerian version?

Unlike what the article says I do not believe that Anshar was known in Summerian mythology. He plays a role in the

Enuma Elish as child of Tiamat and Absu and doesn't have a Summerian name. Djaser 17:16, 29 January 2007 (UTC)[reply

Father of Enki and Ninlil?

The previous version of the article says the following:

they are the parents of [[Anu]] and [[Ea]]. (and, in some traditions, [[Enlil]]).

A source is necessary here. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Djaser (talkcontribs) 17:26, 29 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Sky axle?

If he is the god of the "sky axle", then he is the god of the northern celestial pole, or he is the northern celestial pole. Rursus dixit. (mbork3!) 09:28, 12 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
