Where's the History section?

How on Earth does this article not have a History section for a country's legislative body? Sir William Matthew Flinders Petrie | Say Shalom! 17 Adar 5775 04:23, 8 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Vandalism

An unregistered IP insists in deleting PPD and CDS from PPD/PSD and CDS-PP, respectively. Just to remind, the latter acronym is the party's official one. And both of the acronyms appear on the official webpage of the Portuguese Parliament. I am tired of this, and maybe it is time for this page to be semi-protected. — B.Lameira (talk) 00:52, 7 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Changing Confidence and Supply to Parliamentary Support

Please change "Confidence and Supply" to "Parliamentary Support", given that:

  1. There is no source, primary or otherwise, pointing to the existence of a deal of confidence and supply. In particular there is no signed guarantee that no motions of no confidence will be brought by the parliamentary support parties against the government, and there is no signed promise to pass the State Budget (supply). Furthermore confidence and supply is a figure that exists in Westminster type parliaments, of which Portugal does not have one.
  2. The Portuguese Wikipedia correctly uses the term "parliamentary support" to describe the function of the parties.

Sources

Can we get some sources? I would but I'm not very good at Portuguese, I was also wondering how often reapportionment of seats occurs? Alex the Nerd (talk) 00:54, 11 October 2020 (UTC)Alex[reply]

230

There are 230 MP seats. Not more, not less. Currently, for the next couple days, there are 4 unfilled seats, while consulate ballots are tabulated. But it is not right to say there are 226 MPs for the moment. This edit is clueless and, as a reversion, it is mean spirited, done in bad faith, and one more example of the hamfisted yet smug anglocentric bullying you guys so casually engage in. As we say over here, leva lá a bicicleta. Everybody who knows the first thing about the Portuguese parliament is pointing and laughing. Tuvalkin (talk) 18:30, 9 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Number of seats

The number of seats and the image have to be updated since a new election took place in 2022. AlavienJasper (talk) 02:56, 10 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
