Very bad Vivo fone

links to the corporate website

They are wrong, and not speaking Chinese, I have no way of fixing them.

Umidigi

I can't find anything alluding to BBK owning umidigi. 202.144.172.150 (talk) 15:02, 23 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Page protection request

Can protect this article from IP vandals removing the defunct status of the company? These IP vandals were made by the same person.

A reliable secondary source (syndicated story from Reuters on SCMP) stated that BBK still exists as an entity in November 2023. China’s Realme, sister brand of Vivo and Oppo, surges past 200 million smartphone shipments Article directly on Reuters - nathanielcwm (talk) 05:56, 18 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Though the company is unregistered, the company is maybe still exists secretly. So, I am angry at dubious IP vandalism and this article is at risk of edit warring that I wanted to avoid this.

Potential erratum

Come on, how are you guys living under the rock for such a long time? This article has been describing THREE distinct entities that have the same name:

  • First, the BBK that owns OPPO, vivo,... (Guangdong Bubugao) that the article is supposed to be written about.
  • Second, Bubugao Supermarket, which is the defunct one.
  • Third, Hong Kong E-Trade Centre, the one who currently owns bbk-electronics.com website.

The first BBK still EXISTS, it just rarely exposes itself. The old website, which is gdbbk.com, now redirects to okii.com, which IS a BBK subsidiary. (I don't know why writers remove it in favor of the wrong website, given that the old BBK website mentions its subsidiaries frequently. They should have done some simple research.)
Please fix it, some Twitter users have been spreading misinformation based on this article. Thanks. 15:41, 25 January 2024 (UTC) — Preceding
