Big Brother housemates
I removed {{Big Brother housemates}} because it was not implemented properly. All (every single one) of the ten links for contestants was broken, because they all point to internal sections which don't exist. There are three stand-alone articles for contestants, including one for the winner, which we should link to, which {{Big Brother housemates}} doesn't handle. So, please, only add back {{Big Brother housemates}} if you're going to also create a section for each contestant. --Rob 22:26, 27 June 2006 (UTC)

- However, according to the WikiProject, the official infobox is Big Brother Housemates, so technically this is what we should be doing. If we adhere to the guidelines, this article will be better. This includes giving the housemates sub-headings (houseguests in the American version). This makes it easier to read and main article templates can be included for larger articles. This is resolves the need to delete pages of housemates which are stubs and having to delete them. - I have no problem with the {{Big Brother housemates}} template *if* it is added properly, which means *first* having a section for each houseguest. But it wasn't added properly, and all the links were defective, and there were no links to the stand-alone biographies. There's really no justification for having ten broken links. Once houseguest sections are made, you can link from each section to any stand-alone article. It seems absurd to break one season's article, and then go on to break other articles, before fixing the first one broken. I suggests in any future edits, you preview the change, and ensure *all* links you add (internal and external) work. --Rob 02:08, 28 June 2006 (UTC)

Upgraded to C-Class
I have upgraded this article to C-Class as it meets the criteria, the article has a good amount of information but not enough yet for B-Class. More reliable sources would be good to improve the article. ♪♫Alucard 16♫♪ 21:55, 7 July 2008 (UTC)

- When it first aired this season was referred to as Big Brother 2000 like the UK but starting with the second season the titling was changed to season numbers. When this season is referenced or talked about the producers/CBS use the title Big Brother 1 which fits into the current title scheme. Big Brother 9 (U.S.) was the only season to be called simply Big Brother with no season number or year aired once it dropped the subtitle "Til Death Do You Part". And for consistency with Big Brother US articles a consensus was reached to title this article "Big Brother 1 (U.S.) to fit with the current naming pattern. ♪♫Alucard 16♫♪ 04:18, 4 September 2009 (UTC)

BB1 or BB2000
Big Brother 1, known at the time as Big Brother 2000 (much like the international versions, which do not use numbers to classify each season, but the year they were broadcast)
This is the start of the article. However, by just looking at the logo which says "BIG BROTHER 1", I doubt it was known as Big Brother 2000. That claim should definitely have a source. 82.141.116.251 (talk) 09:04, 17 February 2012 (UTC)

CBS and the production team named the second - eighth and tenth seasons with the naming conventions Big Brother <number /> which can be seen by screenshots of their logos from the opening titles on their English Wikipedia pages. The season seven logo is an exception to this as the logo was animated where the "7" transformed into the star that is seen in the logo on the article. The first season was known as Big Brother when it aired in 2000 but similar to Survivor: Borneo CBS and production renamed the first season to Big Brother 1 in 2006 during the seventh season. Screenshot of season one logo during "America's Vote" special for BB7 The ninth season used a subtitle but the common and recognizable name was Big Brother 9 by the press. [1][2][3][4]
Starting with season 11 the production team dropped the number from the logo in favor for a generic logo (as seen by the screenshots of the logo in the articles). However the naming convention still continued by CBS through social media like Twitter with hastags like #BB<number /> and YouTube titles. [5][6][7] The press still uses the older naming convention for seasons 11-20. [8][9][10][11][12][13][14][15][16][17] CBS will even revert back to the old naming convention in their own articles on their official website.[18] For the most recent season Julie can be seen holding note cards with the old style logo from seasons 2-8 & 10 which reads "Big Brother 20".[19] CBS' own description for the final episode of the twentieth season even says "And which Houseguest will go on to be crowned the winner of Big Brother 20 and take home the half-million dollars?"
This is why the original, main series should maintain the current naming convention of "Big Brother <number />" with the new disambiguator. Note: The celebrity series is included with this move to eliminate the improper disambiguator (U.S.) they maybe moved later on after the second season begins airing once it is known how the producers treats the second season. Oppose, per brevity. Really no need to add 'season' as the year already describes the page.(EDIT:See later in page) They should maybe all be moved to 'US' fix the 'U.S.' and 'US' concern. Will keep watch on the discussion though to be convinced otherwise. I honestly didn't know that some decision someplace now mandates that US be U.S. now, or that UK is still UK (which I would favor stay as it is). And 'OtherContent' has nothing to with any valid or invalid argument, it is part of an essay. - Support I see no problem with this, needs to align with NCTV this is a good way of doing it. Will also allow for consistency with other similar situations as explained above by IJBall. Hey guys I was checking the article out and apparently someone edited it and said that eddie the winner of season died recently but I can't find any proof. It appears to be an anonymous edit and I keep on investigating. I suspect that someone been playing a death hoax prank or joking off .
