Removed original research

Section discussing his home run numbers contained the sentence "had he played in a more neutral..." which was very clear and irrefutable original research, on top of being totally unsupported speculation. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 184.91.25.167 (talk) 19:28, 13 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Intro revision

I removed the line "Mazeroski was a key component in one of the most potent offenses in the majors", because it's simply untrue; between 1957 and 1967 (the years cited immediately afterward), the Pirates usually finished in the bottom half of the league in scoring; in 1960, when they led the NL in runs, Mazeroski was fifth on the team in RBI and hits, and sixth in runs - hardly what I'd describe as a key component. Also, he routinely hit 6th or lower in the batting order. I've rewritten it to note that his contributions were atypical for a second baseman. MisfitToys (talk) 10:44, 12 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
