I have found the following information on several web sites. For the last 25 years or so Bobby has been working the L.A. Police and San Bernardino County Sheriff Departments as a specialist officer. He is responsible for teaching cadets first aid and CPR. He has been reported as saying that medical rescue work and teaching is the best life experience and training that he could ever have. I think that he has held this role for about the last 25 years.

I don't know about the exact dates and his length of service with LAPD - but you are basically correct. Sherman is notable for his positive attitude and his public service, as well as for being one "teen idol" that managed to mature into a balanced, productive and useful life without remorse or adjustment problems. He seems to have understood that the fame would be short lived in that genre, but enjoyed it while it lasted nontheless....and moved on...(IMHO, he ought to be more well known for that. My older female cousins were wild about him when we were kids.)...Engr105th 23:21, 11 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

monkees

Should there be some mention of the time he appeared on the Monkees, parodying the "teen idol" type of image, before he himself became an actual idol?76.226.124.26 (talk) 10:41, 1 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The statement that Bridgette Poublon is married to Bobby Sherman is untrue. As a personal friend of Bobby's I know for a fact that he is not married to Bridgette Poublon.

Clark County marriages can be searched online. There is no record of a marriage between the two. 2601:8C0:801:460:75FA:29E1:F25C:9055 (talk) 18:10, 29 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Remembering You

Davymickymikepeter (talk) 01:50, 16 May 2016 (UTC) The 1976 LP REMEMBERING YOU contained 7 previously released songs and 5 new ones ... these 5 new ones are exclusive only to this LP ... they are: BEGINNINGS ARE EASY; FRESH OUT OF LOVE; I'LL NEVER STOP SINGING MY SONG; JUST ASK ME, I'VE BEEN THERE; and HERE WITH YOU. When I made this edit it was deleted. I'm going to put it back on, so please don't delete unless my info is incorrect & you can show me where else the 5 songs are from. My source for this is rateyourmusic.com , under track listings for REMEMBERING YOU. Thanks. DavymickymikepeterDavymickymikepeter (talk) 01:50, 16 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I know this is frustrating but that isn't really how it works. Editors really shouldn't add information to articles and then tell other editors to look it up and add the proper referencing. Yes, I know having to jump though informational hoops can be annoying but the simple act of including references with statements is what keeps Wikipedia from devolving into an unsourced opinion column. Other editors shouldn't have to look up and find the sources for you. The contributor (in this case - you ) needs to include the sources and statements in the article themselves. You seems to have some interest in pop music, maybe you could take on improving this article bit by bit. It really does need better referencing, especially because Mr. Sherman is
still living
.
The correct form for you to use would be
reliable
. If you have a copy of the record itself, you can use it as a source. A record is published, just the same as a book or newspaper or reputable online news-source. If you really want to add this info this is what you need to do:
  • Go through the tutorial Help:Introduction to referencing with Wiki Markup/1. That should help you start to understand how seriously Wikipedia takes references and also help to teach you how to add sourced statements to an article.
  • Then go through
    Wikipedia:Tutorial/Citing sources
. This tutorial is a one-sheet summary with some interactive elements.
  • Then fill out Template:Cite AV media, using the information from the vinyl record. Put <ref> before the beginning of your cite and then </ref>at the end of the template.
  • Look for a Preview button at the bottom of the page - click on it. Does everything look ok for your "cite AV media"-reference? It does? You filled out an edit summary explaining your edit right?
  • Then hit Save and you've done it.
Hope this all helps, Shearonink (talk) 03:13, 16 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Davymickymikepeter (talk) 22:55, 16 May 2016 (UTC)Err, uh, um ... this isn't important to me. If you want to delete it, fine, I won't try putting it back. Just thought it was a helpful "fun fact". Thanks. DavymickymikepeterDavymickymikepeter (talk) 22:55, 16 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

It is a fun fact, thanks for your editing. Hope you can find some other articles that could use some attention as well. Shearonink (talk) 01:37, 17 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Relationship with Sal Mineo

Why is there no mention of Sherman’s affair with Sal Mineo? It’s listed in Mineo’s Wikipedia article as the reason for his split from Hayworth. SheldonHelms (talk) 21:59, 9 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

  • Well, if there was an affair, then surely a newspaper or magazine somewhere wrote about it, and then all it takes is someone willing to find out which ones and then add that information along with a citation to the article. This isn't so very complicated, but someone has to be willing to take the time to do it (maybe that someone is you?). Wikipedia editors are volunteers! Go for it!

EMT/Paramedic discrepancy

The opening of this article describes him as a retired Paramedic, but the relevant section describes a career as an EMT. Those aren’t the same thing, so one of those needs to be updated to reflect the reality 2600:8807:5496:8D00:E0C0:6DCF:53B7:4E1F (talk) 22:26, 28 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
