Where's Brad from anyway?

Energist 15:54, 8 December 2006 (UTC) I would like to see this entry expanded with information about Brad's Vision. Brad McQuaid brought to EQ, and now to Vanguard, a design intent to build into these games an interdependance between players that isn't see to nearly the same degree in other games. He may also be behind the desire to make Vanguard a harder game than the king of MMORPG's World of Warcraft.[reply]

"McQuaid and Sigil later announced development on Vanguard: Saga of Heroes, an MMORPG to be co-published by Sony Online Entertainment."

This statement is wrong. The game was originally supposed to be published by Microsoft Game Studios. Sudenly, near production dates, Sigil announced SOE would be the final publisher. At wich point a lot of people felt the incoming failure.

This statement is wrong as well. At the point that Sony picked up Vanguard, it was already a failure, and no other MMO publisher in North America would touch it after the disaster that Vanguard's development cycle had been for Microsoft. Kolanifv (talk) 02:09, 21 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

^^^It wasn't already a failure, that's a personal belief not a fact.

Skullan (talk) 13:57, 2 August 2008 (UTC) It wasn't already a failure and there was no indication (at least from what I have seen) that no other MMO publisher would touch it. The announcement of "Microsoft is no longer going to be our publisher" to "SOE is picking us up" was very quick.[reply]

In the end, the discussion of a publisher for Vanguard is somewhat misplaced under Brad McQuaid's life, since there is a Vanguard wiki here.

user:jimba It says at the start of his page that he was the "key" designer of everquest. Can anyone confirm if this is true or not? The word "key" I suppose is pretty subjective, but was he the lead designer or even a senior designer? There were other designers on that game I have to wonder what, if anything, Brad actually designed. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 94.168.44.59 (talk) 05:23, 5 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
