I thought Edward Budgen was the founder, but it says John Budgen here. What was the relationship between them? Were they both involved in the business? Claval 21:21, 2 September 2007 (UTC)
Further to sorting out the John Budgen (Maidenhead) versus Edward Budgen (Egham) stories, I had a look around and have now found a claim that the first store was in Notting Hill! Claval 23:35, 22 September 2007 (UTC)

Was it Edward or John who founded the store? On Edward Budgen, I wanted to write

Thorntons, Crouch End, London Budgens sale back to Musgrave
No reference of the sale of other "leading" Budgens (Thornton's, Crouch End) back to Musgrave?
