Woman work when?

(quote)

From 1914 to 1918 he worked as a free-lance artist, ... Sympathetic to women's suffrage, he contributed cartoons to Woman's Journal and The Woman Voter (which merged with the Journal in 1917). ...

The parenthetical note is mine, relying on our Woman's Journal. These two and another merged in 1917 to create Woman Citizen, we say, under that name for ten years, then The Woman Journal 1927–1931. Our dates and titles and association with suffrage, achieved 1920, suggest that this Woman work was some of his 1914-1918 free-lance artistry.
