The various dates in the article are at odds with the cited sources (as well as math). I think the obituary is wrong:

DOB 1937
HS graduation 1957
Attended and played at OSU for one year (?)
Pro career starting in 1957 (Rochester/Winnipeg)

These obituary dates:
1. suggest he graduated HS as a 20-year-old, which is unlikely.
2. provide no time between HS and pro career for the year at OSU

Correct dates, as suggested by other sources would appear to be:

DOB 1938
HS graduation 1956
Attended and played at OSU for one year (1956-1957)
Pro career starting in 1957 (Rochester/Winnipeg)
