de-bombed

"On June 4, 2019, the Canecão was de-bombed, as a result of an appeal by UFRJ to the Legislative Assembly of the State of Rio de Janeiro (Alerj)." What does this mean? Searching the web for "de-bomb" yields nothing helpful (e.g., da bomb), and with no further context, none of the definitions of "bomb" that I know or can find make any sense. based on the category tags (buildings demolished in 2019), I think they meant demolished so I fixed it. (p.s., your "da bomb" comment made me laugh) Puppies937 (talk) 04:58, 21 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
