As far as I know, Cha Cha Chá has no clave. The bell does not play as the bongo bell does in
son, it is the same pattern over all bars, and claves are not used as an instrument. Wasn't the "removal" of clave done on purpose to simplify it for non-Cuban dancers who are not used to the concept of clave? Happily ever after 10:58, 18 October 2007 (UTC) (copied from discussion talk:cha cha cha

Maybe it would be helpfult to have an extra section on the instruments typically used. As far as I know, this would be flutes and violins, several singers, piano, bass, timbales, congas optionally. [1] And isn't it usually slower than mambo? Happily ever after 19:22, 21 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
