Why was the picture of Chrishell Strause changed? I liked the other one it was bigger and prettier than this one.

Picture....

To answer your question.... Because the other picture was a professional one taken by a photographer. Read Wikipedia's picture policy, please. When posting pictures, try to use screencaps.

People magazine reliability

@

WP:BLPRS, so I guess your claim is that People is tabloid journalism? But again, "tabloid" doesn't appear in the magazines article at all. I'm just wondering what the basis for your claim is, since I'm not sure what sources have been established by Wikipedia as categorically unreliable. -- Mikeblas (talk) 20:10, 26 May 2023 (UTC)[reply

{{BLP noticeboard}}
Taken to BLP noticeboard for advice, because I’m a little unsure of my ground. Nick Levine (talk) 22:11, 26 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Noticeboard response is that People is a reliable source for this. See
    WP:RSP
    .
  • Part of my caution here stems from a number of pieces which a Google search will find for you, stating that the couple exchanged vows etc. but did not make marriage “legal” because they did not sign the register. If that is true, are they actually married? Oh well, not for us to conduct
    WP:OR
    .
  • I see marriage is back in the article now. I won’t dispute it.

Thanks for looking into it! I don't (didn't) know if the magazine was considered unreliable, either. The thing that I think is odd is that it seems to be the only source for this news just now, and that itself doesn't seem particularly compelling. (Oh, and thanks for the link to
WP:RSP. That's exactly what I was hoping to find!) -- Mikeblas (talk) 04:11, 28 May 2023 (UTC)[reply

Potentially misleading statement?

I was surprised to see that Stause was "a member of improvisational troupe The Groundlings in Los Angeles". I wanted to know more so I checked the source (source 8, a TVLine article from 12/5/2011). There she says that she "just wrapped up classes at The Groundlings". I don't think that's the same thing as being a member of The Groundlings, but I'm not an expert. Is this something that can be verified? Am I even posting in the right place? Does it even matter? Lol Jester424 (talk) 22:03, 1 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
