Wasn't the Boomer writing for the Washington Times while at W&L? I seem to remember jokes about the moonie paper.

Clark Mollenhoff actually wrote 13 books, the last being published after his death. It was a book of poetry, "Ballad to an Iowa Farmer: and Other Reflections." Ronald Reagan enjoyed his poetry, and recited "Teacher" upon giving an award, as did Meredith Willson on his "Music Man." |
