The changes made by Bastin8 are very much POV. I don't know if he agrees whether or not 'Black Bastard' can be termed racist. I think it can. The removal of the essential background of the mutineers, their reaction to the racism of the British Army, and their openness to Lanka Sama Samaja Party propaganda makes their raison d'etre unclear. These are very clearly laid out in Noel Crusz' book. Vinodm 10:40, 15 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Furthermore, this article is badly written -- it's not even clear what year the mutiny took place, some sentences are very ungrammatical, and a lot of clarifying detail was omitted.

Surely the opening sentence makes clear that the mutiny took place in May 1942. It is unclear which particular sentences are 'very ungrammatical'. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 124.43.89.246 (talk) 15:53, 7 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Co-operation between him and both the CLI troops and the Australian signalers

Messages may well have been sent by Fernando, and received in Ceylon. That does not suggest "co-operation between him and both the CLI troops and the Australian signalers on Direction Island".Royalcourtier (talk) 05:59, 27 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
