I added my picture of two terns playing to show different angles of the species. This picture was taken at the Breezy Point wildlife sanctuary and migratory stopping-point at the western tip of the Rockaway Peninsula in Queens, New York, USA.--John van v (talk) 01:56, 11 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

A couple lived on a pond across my office window... they shrieked and chatted all day long, and when one took off to fishing, the other kept on shrieking at double pace. Is there any practical explanation to this apparent "energy waste"?

Then please remove the first reference which is being used to demonstrate that the name of the bird is Common Tern, as this now renders the opening sentence contradictory from a citation perspective. The Rambling Man (talk) 08:27, 28 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
