Why did this party join the right-wingers in opposing the Sandinistas? The Sandinistas were on the left. --Oddeivind (talk) 10:58, 22 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

It's not an entirely easy question to answer, but probably has to do with the conduct of FSLN in gov't during 1980s. The UNO opposition campaign profiled itself not as a right-wing campaign but as a broad democratic campaign, and promised (with success) to end the civil war. --Soman (talk) 15:37, 22 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
