Remake of Mystery Date?

I, for one, couldn't be happier. They should have made Mystery Date with Steve Carrell and Tina Fey the first time around.

Seriously, I like to see information in these movie profiles on how the movie was pitched to studios. The idea had to have been "Mystery Date with a married couple..." or something along those lines. Anyone read anything in the industry news?gwopy loves you and wants you to be happy 13:33, 19 November 2009 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Gwopy (talkcontribs)

David Miller

The Broom carried by the DA is most likley a reference to Toronto Mayor David Miller. If there are any other city officials with similar props they could also be the inspiration.--216.58.52.132 (talk) 05:09, 14 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Plot holes

Too many plot holes in this movie like how did the dirty cops find the couple after they went to Taste's place and who are the dirty cops working for the DA or Molitto? Confusing plot! Please explain. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.111.152.163 (talk) 08:47, 20 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Notes

The Peppermint Hippo Strip club is a reference to the real life Spearmint Rhino strip club in the UK. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 90.193.120.94 (talk) 16:07, 13 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The Out-of-Towners

I am wondering whether this is an uncredited remake of The Out-of-Towners (1970 film) with Jack Lemmon and Sandy Dennis.
Naive married couple experiencing NYC realities.
I haven't seen that one for 35 years, but I seem to remember it working on both comedic and dramatic fronts, whereas this catastrophe worked on neither. Varlaam (talk) 17:33, 21 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
