Well, I think we've got "Film/TV scores - selected list" filled out as much as it needs to be (or perhaps more than it needs to be). Future edits might add content to the main article. Just because it is mentioned in one obituary, I wouldn't use this nickname in the lead of the article (also considering that film music was already firmly established when Raksin went into film business). --Clibenfoart (talk) 05:50, 13 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I agree with this comment. It is very spurious to rank Raksin above notable composers Max Steiner, Erich Wolfgang Korngold, Franz Waxman, Miklos Rosza, and Bernard Hermann et al who all worked in Hollywood during the golden age. Also noted classical composers such as Shostakovich, William Walton and Prokofiev all wrote fine music for cinema.

Also, the URL linking to the statement about "Grandfather of film music" is dead. Lindsay Addie (talk) 01:41, 27 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
