While goddess are more popular, gods of the dawn do exist. Also, some cultures associate dawn with twilight, while others see them as separate phases. I suggest we change this into an article about dawn & twilight Gods. Otherwise, delete it/merge with Solar deity & List of solar deities.Artheartsoul1 (talk) 02:47, 15 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

@Artheartsoul1: I agree that there are also deities that are not under the scope of the term 'goddess'. I also agree that this page should be renamed, but I propose "Dawn deities" instead, so that it would be more inclusive. PCommission (talk) 13:47, 7 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Now, this article is just called Dawn goddess. Earlier, there was an article named "Dawn goddess (Proto-Indo-European)".

The content reflects the earlier focus on "Indoeuropean culture" - as axiomatically identified with "cultural elements being of linguistically identifyable Indoeuropean origin". This is problematic, since this axiom sometimes is clearly invalid, and anyhow often the equivalence of 'liguistic relations' and 'cultural affinity' is disputed. In this case, including Etruskan goddesses in the list of Indoeuropean versions is linguistically false; but culturally indeed the Etruscans was influenced by and in their turn influenced Indoeuropean speaking people in the Meditarrean region.

I'll change the misleading redirect. The article itself perhaps should change focus to a more general discussion on dawn goddesses/gods from different cultures; c.f. the suggestion by
