Biz Markie

Editors disagree on the sorting of Biz Markie: under B or under M? He is not Mr Markie, so

WP:SUR does not apply. It seems to me that Biz Markie is a stage name, and so should be sorted under B. Can anyone quote a relevant WP policy on the sorting? Thoughts? WWGB (talk) 04:02, 17 July 2021 (UTC)[reply

There is no need for discussion. If you put Biz Markie under M, you would be bound to change every single "stage name" entry in the history of these pages. Because - it was not his birth name, it was adopted for public performance, it's a stage name and it's B for Biz. Ref (chew)(do) 11:36, 17 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
And although DEFAULTSORT is designed to give irrefutable guidance in these matters, it is sadly subject to the same human error as in any other walk of life or Wikipedia editorial issue. Ref (chew)(do) 15:33, 17 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

FijiLive website - virus threat

Hi. Just a word of warning to anyone accessing the source https://fijilive.com/news/2021/07/former-mp-succumbs-to-covid-19/73980/ with regards to Hikmat Singh Verma. My anti-virus (Avast Free) has twice quarantined a threat whilst clicking through to the source. Do not attempt to access the website if you have no anti-virus working on your device. Currently looking for an alternative source (of which there aren't any at the moment) as a matter of urgency. Ref (chew)(do) 13:43, 24 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Please note there are still no reliable alternative sources. Ref (chew)(do) 13:28, 7 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
