What is the correct surname of the player? At UEFA.com and even at his shirt he is know was Salpingidis, although some Greek players have some diferences such as José Holebas who has Cholevas at his shirt. Salpingidis – 29,000 hits in GNews vs. Salpigidis – 4,230 hits in GNews. Apparently both are being used, but the "ng" version more commonly. Moreover, it's the more correct version linguistic-wise. Cheers. – Kosm1fent 19:22, 23 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
