D.O.B

This article currently says her date of birth is disputed: 1920,1929, possibly 1924 or 1925. Given this dispute how can her age be accurately reported with regard to her early appearances on stage, radio, etc., as is currently the case? --Design

I am currently attempting to verify her birth year through the Barton family. All references to her chronological age would need to be shifted accordingly (with a note of this difference from ages reported in newspapers and magazines of the day and since). Photographic images suggest she was older than the ages given, by about 4 to 5 years. It is common for entertainers of this era to subtract 5 years from their age. In fact, I believe Jesus was actually 38 at the time of his crucifixion, to make his works seem more "miraculous" by his youth; although I'm not suggesting we alter the calendar again.
