References in English to the names of Dutch broadcasting associations

Although Dutch, of course, refers to "de VARA, de AVRO, de NCRV," etc., it is normal for English-language sources, in my observation, to ignore the definite article: "He will continue making radio programmes for VARA", "The format has already been a hit on NCRV in the Netherlands", etc. I've therefore tidied up the English-language references to be consistent throughout. -- Picapica (talk) 15:24, 18 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The latter, in my opinion, should rather be "The format has already been a hit when broadcast by NCRV on Nederland 2 in the Netherlands". Using "on NCRV" might suggest that NCRV is a channel, rather than a public broadcaster using the channel Nederland 2. PPP (talk) 07:51, 27 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Agreed. I take your point. -- Picapica (talk) 22:26, 12 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
