Should this not be merged with Algarve? Any data relating specifically to the political function of the district can be put in as a footnote in the article on the town Faro, Portugal, but mostly the info here is just duplicating that at Algarve and can be deleted. --Doric Loon 17:22, 29 July 2005 (UTC)[reply]

They aren't the same thing, while Algarve is a cultural region, the district of Faro is an administrative division of the territory. Mário 18:44, 9 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
