  WP:NCROY was changed recently to promote the removal of the country from articles such as these, but I don't see that removal as an improvement or a benefit for our readers. Also, based on the outcomes of recent similar RMs (Christian, Edward, etc.), it's a change that doesn't seem to have broad consensus support, which I'd take that as an indication that the guidance in NCROY should be revisited before proposing more such moves. ╠╣uw [talk] 11:45, 22 December 2023 (UTC)[reply

Also compare with the unambiguously named Spanish kings Felipe VI, Juan Carlos I, Alfonso XIII, Alfonso XII, all of whom have been moved to concise titles after a discussion and kept there after another.
