William O. Douglas Wilderness
- I started William O. Douglas Wilderness. The official web site says that it is jointly administered by Wenatchee National Forest and Gifford Pinchot National Forest. I'll try to add words to that effect here. Walter Siegmund (talk) 20:41, 16 March 2006 (UTC)

Name?
"It was renamed the Gifford Pinchot National Forest on June 15, 1949.[3]"
Okay, but who is Gifford Pinchot and what did he do to have this forest named for him? Is this the same man: Gifford Pinchot? If so, why not mention him and link to his article? Thank you, Wordreader (talk) 14:15, 26 April 2013 (UTC)
Steelhead is not endangered
In general the Steelhead (Rainbow trout, Oncorhynchus mykiss) is not an endangered species. Current content in the article generalizes that error. 1 of 15 Distinct population segments for steelhead are listed as endangered. [1]. Ten are listed as threatened. The DPS that includes this forest is listed as threatened, not endangered. --Mike Cline (talk) 23:22, 1 December 2013 (UTC)
