Afghanistan

Should we change Afghanistan's flag here to the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan's?

78 founding members

74 countries are listed as current founding members. 4 additional countries are listed as former founding members: Mexico, South Korea, Yugoslavia and Cyprus.

Meaning there were 78 founding members? There must be a mistake somewhere? Xzpx (talk) 21:33, 17 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Just moved Mexico from a former founding member to a current founding member since it has rejoined. There are now 75 founding members and three former founding members listed in the article. The discrepancy appears to be related to Bangladesh, which is listed as a founding member in the article but is not listed in the founding document. It only came into existence in 1972. Presumably its founding status was inherited in the article from Pakistan, but in that case Pakistan is being counted twice. Burrobert (talk) 12:07, 18 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Does this mean that the map should be updated to color in Mexico? Rmillares (talk) 17:55, 10 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Yes the map needs to be updated. Burrobert (talk) 02:42, 11 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
