Catholic Martyr?

Sorry, I’m new to this.

The assertion that Guy Fawkes is viewed as a martyr etc “especially amongst a minority of Catholics in the United Kingdom” is absurd and unsupported by the source linked to. Some Catholics may feel a discomfort about the history of it all, but there is no difference in attitude towards him by Catholics or others. All that V for Vendetta mask stuff has nothing but nothing to do with Catholicism, and suggesting otherwise is divisive. Jimquk (talk) 07:50, 8 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Middlesex or London?

When Guy Fawkes died, it 2 centuries before London started growing; there were no police districts nor postal districts to refer Westminster as London that time. Westminster was a parish in 1605, so it is more like Guy Fawkes being dead at Westminster, Middlesex. LDas12345 (talk) 19:22, 23 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
